The role of the Distributor and Users
RD 208/2005 defines the Distributor or Seller as any person or entity that supplies electric or electronic devices under normal commercial conditions, to a different person or entity who will be the final user of the said product.
| The main role attributed by RD 208/2005 is the relation for the delivery of the waste of electric and electronic devices. In this sense, article 4 states the following: | ||
| 1 | The users of electric and electronic devices used at home must hand them over when they have finished using them for their correct management. The delivery must be done at no cost to the owner. | |
| 2 | purchases a new product, that is, an identical product or one that carries out the same functions as that being scrapped, can be handed over when purchasing the new product to the distributor, who must make a temporary reception, provided that it includes the essential elements and it does not include other waste that does not belong to the device. |
