Design the devices with no lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chrome, ploy-bromide biphenyl or ploy-bromide diphenyl, except for the exceptions included in annex I (art. 3 a) |

Mark the devices to identify the producer and state that they have been marketed after the 13th of August 2005 (art. 10). In exceptional cases, if the device can not be labelled due to its dimensions or the function carried out, the symbol will be stamped on the package, instructions for use and warranty of the device. |

Inform the customers about the meaning of the symbol in annex I of the instructions for use, warranty or documentation included with the device, as well as the possible effects on the environment or human health of dangerous substances included (art. 3d). |
