Main obligations of producers

in relation to the management of RAEE; in accordance with RD 208/20052

Finance the costs for the management of products when they become waste (art. 7.1).
These obligations can be met individually or through the use of one or various Integrated Management Systems (SIG) (art. 7.1 and art. 8).

Registration in the Register of industrial establishments, in observance of Act 21/1992, of the 16th of July, industry and the Register of State industrial establishments, approved by the RD 677/1995 of the 28th of April (first additional disposition).
A special section of RAEE producers will be created in this register.

Declaration for the Autonomous Community where the headquarters are established and notification to the Register of state industrial establishments its condition as a producer and the procedure chosen to fulfil its obligations (individual or SIG) (art. 7.3).

Send the following information to the register:

a)	Identification
b)	Communication to the Autonomous Community
c)	Communication of the procedure to comply with the obligations
e)	Periodical Information (three-monthly): devices marketed, category, types of devices, origin, quantities (tonnes), uses.

In the case of devices marketed after the coming into force of the RD, the producers must inform users about the repercussion in the final price (on the invoice), including all costs for the management of devices existing in the market before the 13th of August 2005, when these produce waste (historical waste).
